Slow Farming

✧ Agroecology & Farm Manager – skilled professional in permaculture, farming, food production or related field. Someone organized and methodical with a green thumb who values natural aesthetics and harmonious ecosystems.

✧ Groundskeeper – knowledgeable forestry manager or landscaper, responsible guardian of estate; land, pastures, gardens, forest & wood for building & heating in the winter. A lover of nature who wants to see her thrive, likely someone who builds forts in the woods in their free time.

Wellness

✧ Kitchen Manager – experienced plant-based chef, herbalist, event or retreat cater with a passion for serving up nourishing, wholesome meals. Passionate about natural ingredients and inspired by seasonal availability. Flexible to cater to different diets, exclusions and intolerances (ex. gluten-free, allium-free, most nut-free). Our chef will also be asked to trade some cooking hours with the garden team for the chance to get to know the plant systems.

✧ VAPs Chef (value-added-products) – a farmer and/or cook excited about transforming raw materials into delicious and financially viable products (our main products are sprouted pumpkin seeds, dried berries, fruit vinegars, apple molasses, fermentations, herbal infusions as well as granola highlighting our seeds & berries, seed butters, and cacao & chocolate confections). Our chef will also work on the garden team in harvesting & foraging raw materials.

✧ Movement Facilitator – experienced & trained movement guide and/or musician (yoga teacher, dance instructor, ecstatic dance dj, etc.); live-in or off-site position

✧ Chateau Manager (of house, B&B & guests) – organized and nurturing host of the space who cares deeply about order, functionality, cleanliness and above all being a warm, inviting space to receive guests

ANIMALS

​

✧ Caretaker – responsible guardian of animals & their health (12 chickens, 8 ducks, 3 dogs, 17 alpacas, 7 sheep) including daily maintenance of their houses, fields, food & water. We are also eager to manage our farm and land by horse power and looking into acquiring some sturdy work horses (for a long-term horse impassioned person to join our team).
